- Back Beach – Stretching for around three kilometres, Back Beach is the spot for swimming, surfing, windsurfing or simply kicking back on the sand. If the surf gets too strong, head back to the pool at Pullman Vung Tau, only a five-minute walk away.
- Front Beach – In the centre of the city, a six-minute drive from Pullman Vung Tau, backs onto a park and is lined with cafés and restaurants. It’s a great spot to watch the sun set.
- Paradise Golf Course – On the eastern side of the peninsula and a five-minute drive from Pullman Vung Tau, Paradise is a challenging 27-hole course with lush greenery lining the fairways.
- Jesus Statue – Six minutes’ drive or an invigorating walk from Pullman Vung Tau, the 32-metre statue of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms offers panoramic views from his shoulders.
- Hon Ba Island
- Thang Tam Temple – Also known as the “whale temple” and only five minutes from Pullman Vung Tau, Thang Tam temple features ornate engravings, yin-yang tiles and the bones of whales.
- Vung Tau Lighthouse – Around ten minutes from Pullman Vung Tau, the lighthouse was built by the French in 1910 and offers spectacular 360-degree views of the city and the sea.
- Ho May Theme Park – Ten minutes from Pullman Vung Tau, a cable car carries families to Ho May Theme Park at the summit of Big Mountain. There’s an amusement park, a small zoo, restaurants and, at sundown, breathtaking views across Vung Tau and the sea.

- French Villa Blanche – The former French governor’s residence, Villa Blanche – a seven-minute drive from Pullman Vung Tau – is a grand colonial mansion with sweeping views of Front Beach from its balcony.

- Beach Front Pagodas – The city is rich in beautiful Buddhist pagodas, all within easy reach of Pullman Vung Tau. Thích Ca Phật Đài temple sits in lush gardens overlooking the harbour and features a giant Buddha on a lotus leaf. There are stunning mountain and sea views from Niết Bàn Tịnh Xá pagoda.
